***Update***

We are pleased to report  that Police have made an arrest in connection to the malicious emails which were sent to some schools in Leeds today.

We will continue with our normal, rigorous safeguarding procedures to ensure that pupils and staff at Beeston Primary School remain safe and happy.

Many thanks for your messages of support and thanks today.

We will see everyone as normal for school in the morning.

Dear Parent/ Carer

All gates remain closed and locked, as usual, and staff are being extra vigilant.  We have well-rehearsed procedures for lock down in place should we need them and a robust CCTV system covering all school grounds which is being closely monitored.

We have no further information regarding the threat at this time but please be reassured that Beeston Primary School has not received a direct threat, and the children and staff are safe.

Can we please ask that visits to school today are restricted to urgent matters only.  You can of course contact school via the telephone or email, as usual. Thank you for your understanding.

Please can we ask you to be vigilant when picking up your children at the end of their school day, and if you have any concerns about any individuals acting suspiciously near school please inform school immediately and call 999.

Thank you for your continued support.
