In response to your feedback on the Parent Home Learning Questionnaire we have been looking into how we can deliver some live ‘sessions’.
Last week we sent out electronic permission forms to all parents via text message. If you had returned that form before 8:30am this morning you may have been included in our trial sessions this week!!
If your child’s class teacher is already teaching in school this week we will look to see if someone can cover that meeting, but it may not be possible this time due to commitments with ‘Parent’s Consultation’ meetings as well. You can still keep sending back your permission slips and, should this weeks trials be successful, in the case of future lockdowns we look to introduce a keeping in touch type live session during the isolation period. We plan to keep all lessons on demand/prerecorded rather than live at this stage.
Please see userguides for Foundation Stage, who will be utilising the Zoom platform, and KS1 & 2, who will be using the ‘Meeting’ element of the online learning platform they have been using since January.
FS1 and 2 will post the invite code into Tapestry–keep an eye out for your invitation!
KS1 and 2 staff will be posting the Teams guide to their class team, but if you can encourage your child to look out for their name on a meeting invite in the new channel if you returned a form for them.
