Safeguarding
Meet Our Designated Safeguarding Team
At Beeston Primary School, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. The safety and wellbeing of our children are at the heart of everything we do and are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and protected.
Our Designated Safeguarding Team receives regular, up-to-date training to ensure they are knowledgeable about current safeguarding practices, policies and guidance. They work closely with staff, families and external agencies to ensure that concerns about a child’s safety or welfare are taken seriously and responded to promptly and appropriately.
All school staff receive regular safeguarding training and are supported to recognise signs of abuse, neglect or other concerns, understand how to report them, and follow our safeguarding procedures.
If you have any concerns about a child, please contact a member of our Safeguarding Team through the school office or by emailing safeguarding@beestonprimary.org. No concern is too small. We are committed to ensuring that all children and families receive the right support at the right time, and every concern will be listened to and taken seriously.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Worried About Something? We Are Here to Help
If someone is hurting you, making you do something you don’t want to do, or treating you unkindly, it is important to tell someone you trust. This could be a parent or carer, a friend, a trusted teacher or another member of staff at school.
You can also speak to us if you are worried about someone else, whether that is another child or an adult. You do not have to deal with worries on your own, and you will always be listened to.
There are several ways you can ask for help at Beeston Primary School:
• Tell My Teacher Boxes – These are available in every classroom and provide a private way to share your worries or concerns with a member of staff.
• Time to Talk – Look out for the yellow Time to Talk boxes around school. You can use these to request a time to talk privately with Mrs Leng.
You can also speak directly to any member of staff you feel comfortable talking to.
Remember: your voice matters. We are here to listen, help and keep you safe
In school, lots of adults work hard to keep you safe. This special guide ‘Working together to safeguard children’ helps you understand how different people and organisations work together to support and protect you.

Our Junior Leadership Team has written a child-friendly Safeguarding Policy and Online Safety Policy to help everyone stay safe — you can read them both here and talk about them with your teacher!
