Maths:

Friday means one thing… Big Maths! I hope that you beat last week's score!

Oh no! Your favourite zoo animal has escaped from its enclosure! Complete the poster below to help find it.

Try to include:

  • Conjunctions (and, so, but, because, when, that, or)
  • Exclamation marks (!)
  • Questions
  • Adjectives (describing words)
  • Capital letters, full stops and finger spaces
  • Words ending in –ly, -ness and –ful.

Look at this information sheet about penguins. Unfortunately, the author has made quite a few mistakes. Read the information and then highlight the mistakes using the challenges underneath. You could rewrite the information sheet and correct the mistakes as you go. This would be a great opportunity to practise joining your hand writing.

Look at the picture of the fossilised starfish below. This starfish fossil is over 175 million years old. It dates from the Jurassic period, when dinosaurs walked the Earth, and the Yorkshire Coast was beneath a warm tropical sea!
