Year 1 Home Learning
We will be uploading activities to this page every week. In addition to this you may want to have a look at the lessons being published daily on The Oak National Academy here. There are videos of teachers delivering the lessons. You may also want to have a look at the BBC Bitesize content for Year 1 here too or even on the red button on your TV.

We will be uploading your home learning activities weekly. Every Monday you will receive 5 days of activities. If you are attending school you will complete the RED HIGHLIGHTED activities in school within your bubbles. (DO NOT COMPLETE THESE AT HOME IF YOU ARE ATTENDING SCHOOL) You can complete the rest of the activities during the three days you are at home. If you are NOT attending school you can complete ALL of the activities.
This week we are learning to recognise and spell compound words. Take a look at the compound word PP and then complete one of the worksheets below.
Use the picture to answer the questions below:
· Where are the girl and the dragon? What can they see from this place? What are they looking at?
· Why are they here?
· Are they friends? Does the girl own the dragon as a pet?
· What species of dragon do you think it is? Is it friendly?
· Write a sentence describing the dragon.

Complete a book review of the story. You could set it out like the example below!
Use the sentence stems below to create your own sentences about the superheroes.
Look at the Power Point to learn about different cultures. Can you complete the questions at the end of the PP?

Read the Power Point to learn about Japan. Then complete the fact file.
DAY 3 - Geography:
Read the PP on continents and then label the continents.
DAY 4 - PSHE:
Think back over the last year and pick out your best memories to complete the poster.
DAY 5 - PSHE:
Complete the Goodbye Year 1 sheet about your last year in Year One.
