Story Time

Don't forget your Oxford Reading Tree characters..

But today I've got you a story that I like to read just before transition week when you are in school.

Worrying is perfectly normal, but make sure you talk about it with someone special so they can help you sort it out smiley

Reports are being posted out today so you should find out your child's new class teacher very soon (if you are staying on with us at BPS).

Watch the transition videos you will receive by email (soon if you havent already, I know Mr Nicholson is on with organising it) and keep talking. Any questions your child may have that you can't answer just bob our way--Miss Farrington and Miss Huffer will be able to help.

Exercise

I asked some other teachers on a Facebook group for some different exercise ideas for you to enjoy.
Here is something one of the teachers said their children enjoy moving to.

Phonics

Today's Activity...

Can your child copy the shape letter shape in the air or on the floor starting at the top.

What job would you like to do when you grow up?

Thursday 2nd July 2020

Story Time

Don't forget your Oxford Reading Tree characters..

A little story for you to listen to today though. You know Miss Farrington loves an Albie adventure!

And just incase you want to make a Dino Chomper afterwards: https://www.carylhart.com/images/dino_chomper_activitysheet_1_.pdf

or design your own seed packet: https://www.carylhart.com/images/design_a_seedpacket_activitysheet.pdf

Exercise

FS2 think you will all like this one! We had fun having a go at this one. MIss Metcalfe said she found it very tricky, but she tried very hard with her Zumba anyway. Good growing green attitude Miss Metcalfe!

Story Time

Don't forget your Oxford Reading Tree characters..

Read this book together.

Have a look at each page.

Remember to use the characters name when you make a sentence up about what is happening.

eg. Floppy looks excited. He is looking at a hedgehog.

Exercise

Something a little different again today.

  • Dance along to the video on iMoves to get you moving and grooving and to give you some ideas.
  • Now can you tocreate your very own Bollywood routine?
  • Use their video for inspiration, create something totally unique, or just dance along with us.

If you want, most of you should be old enough to enter their competition.

Equally, just have a little fun trying something different (unless you are already a Bollywood superstar in the making...MC, I've seen your super wedding dancing movessmiley!)

Discuss this book cover.

What might this story be about?

Who will be in the story?

What is the little animal? When would you normally see him? (Because they are 'nocturnal')

Exercise

Something a little different again this week.

Can you follow the moves to this Kids Zumba? (Miss Farrington, Mrs Greco and Miss Metcalfe were doing their Zumba with FS2 yesterday)

What do you know about the jobs doctors, nurses and paramedics do? Do you know anyone who is one?

Do you know who else works with them to help the poorly people? They are all doing an even more super job at the moment 🌈
